Prior to joining BDC Advisors, Tim founded HealthFinance Associates, LLC, a financial consulting firm focused on financial and operations improvement, financial and strategic planning, information systems planning, revenue cycle management, and health data management. Before that, Tim served as a senior finance executive at Johns Hopkins in several different positions, including Vice President of Finance for Johns Hopkins Medicine, the for-profit managed care MSO and primary care delivery system for Johns Hopkins Healthcare. He has worked in senior finance positions for several other hospitals and health systems, including Whittier Hospital Medical Center (a Tenet hospital), George Washington University Medical Center, the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, and Richmond Metropolitan Hospital. In addition, Tim has previous consulting experience with The Camden Group, where he worked as Vice President, Finance, and five years at Ernst & Whinney.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a Member of the Hospital Association of Southern California, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American Associate of Healthcare Administrative Management.
