Joe DeLuca is a Senior Advisor at BDC Advisors with a practice specifically focused on health care informatics and information technology. In this capacity, he provides advisory and project management services to health systems, academic medical centers, multi-hospital systems, medical foundations, organized medical groups and payer organizations. Joe provides practical insight and leadership development through 30 years of consulting and management experience in the healthcare industry. His clients include some of healthcare’s most prestigious award winning information system users as well as preeminent financial and clinically integrated health systems.

Joe is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences and is widely published on health care and information technology topics. The most recent edition of his book, The CEO’s Guide to Health Care Information Technology: Revised Edition, is now available from Josey-Bass. Joe was recently awarded the ACHE Regent’s Senior Leadership Award for service to the health care industry.

Mr. DeLuca received his MA in Health Services Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and BA, magna cum laude, from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
