Dr. Floyd is a Principal at BDC Advisors with 30 years of clinical and medical leadership experience. As a clinician, she left her private practice group to join an integrated healthcare system and then transitioned into medical leadership roles in two large integrated systems. Dr. Floyd has extensive experience in medical group infrastructure, primary care networks, clinically integrated networks and physician engagement strategies. She has particular interest in helping systems in the HR related processes for physicians and physician engagement strategies.
In the past two years Dr. Floyd has assisted numerous clients in the design and implementation of a clinically integrated network. She has particular interest and expertise in the start-up of the Quality Committee (including quality and efficiency metric selection), Credentialing Committee and design of the network incentive.

Prior to joining BDC Advisors, Dr. Floyd was the VP of Physician Services for the employed multispecialty group of a large healthcare system in Ohio. In that role she led a transformation of the group’s recruiting and compensation processes leading to a marked growth of the group and an improvement of productivity.
Before this role, Dr. Floyd was part of the senior leadership team for a medical group of >500 physicians and mid levels that was part of a fully integrated system in the Southwest. During this experience she was responsible for the growth of the group and physician leadership development, engagement and retention. She also played a key role in the medical group’s alignment with the system’s health plan. Prior to this, she served as the Medical Director for the system’s Children’s Program, moving them to a metric based strategic plan, doubling the pediatric subspecialty physicians, and developing a pediatric hospitalist team.
Dr. Floyd received her BS from Baylor University, her medical degree at the University of New Mexico, and her residency training at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Six Sigma green belt and has also achieved the SPHR certification.
