Julie is a native of South Korea who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She holds an undergraduate engineering degree from M.I.T., a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago. Julie has lived in Boston, Chicago, and has settled in San Francisco for the forseeable future.

Julie has ten years of diverse consulting and life science industry experience including product development, valuation of early-stage business opportunities, marketing and product launches, and technology partnerships. Julie’s first role was consulting at A.T. Kearney, working with software, pharmaceutical, and energy clients designing marketing strategy, merger integration implementation efforts, and technology valuation through modeling of real options. Prior to joining BDC Advisors, Julie was a product marketing manager for MDL Information Systems conducting inbound and outbound marketing for enterprise-level drug discovery informatics for pharmaceutical and biotech customers worldwide. At BDC Advisors, Julie focuses on market segmentation and strategy development, business case valuation, pricing and bundling analysis, and statistical and regression analysis.
