Larry was born and raised in Northern California and obtained his Juris Doctorate at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley.

Larry has 30 years of healthcare industry experience as both a lawyer and healthcare professional. Prior to joining BDC Advisors, Larry served as Corporate Counsel for Catholic Healthcare West (CHW). His accomplishments included responsibility for formation of the health system in 1986 and over 50 major transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Larry previously served in a health law practice in Northern California focusing on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and transaction activities, as well as licensing, litigation management, and medical staff issues. He has also served as Assistant Counsel for the University of California, serving as in-house counsel to five hospitals, outpatient clinics, five schools of medicine, and two psychiatric facilities. Larry offers his BDC Advisors’ clients leadership with strategy and business planning, network design and configuration, network operations and organization, transaction support, litigation support, and facilitated dispute resolution.

Larry is married and has three adult children. He and his family have resided in Sacramento for the last 20 years, and he is an active member of the community. Larry serves as Chair of the Mercy Foundation, Chair Elect of the Mountain Valley Chapter of the American Leadership Forum, General Counsel for both the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, and the historic Sutter Club in the capitol city. Larry enjoys traveling, sports, skiing, cycling, and gardening.
