Bill has Midwestern roots - growing up in an Indiana farm town, and later, a Chicago suburb. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Studies with honors from Lawrence University and a Master of Management (MBA) degree in Marketing and Health Services Management at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, where he was named a Distinguished Scholar and his class’ Outstanding Graduate in Health Services Management.
Bill brings his clients a unique perspective, honed through long experience as both a consultant and senior executive. After starting his career in Booz Allen’s healthcare practice, he served as a senior executive at Marriott, where he led the company’s diversification into the senior living industry; at Manor Care, where he led corporate strategy and marketing functions and a home health care division; and, as a member of the founding management team for a venture-backed physician practice management start-up. As a Managing Director with BDC Advisors, Bill leads the firm’s physician alignment practice and brings his experience in strategy, business development, and facilitating complex business relationships to the service of a wide range of clients.
Bill is married and has three sons. He is active in his community and church, and serves on the board of Five Talents, International, an Anglican-based non-profit focused on micro-economic development in the third world. In his spare time, he loves to travel with his family – most recently in Egypt and a walking tour through the Czech Republic – and sailing his Island Packet 350 on the Chesapeake Bay.
